Safe Work Australia has released a new stakeholder pack to support the transition to workplace exposure limits (WELs) for airborne contaminants.

In April 2024, work health and safety (WHS) ministers agreed to a new WEL list, with the updated limits coming into effect on 1 December 2026.

The new stakeholder pack has been developed for WHS regulators, occupational hygienists and WHS professionals, unions, industry bodies and employers. It provides key messages and ready-to-use resources to help promote awareness and support workplaces to prepare for the new limits.

To learn more and download the stakeholder pack, visit the airborne contaminants hub.
