Back to the May 2023 News Update

In March we launched a beta release of a new data website, after more than 2 years of consultation with key stakeholders.

“The new website provides national work health and safety and workers’ compensation claims data in an intuitive, user-friendly way. The website represents an important step in making our national data publicly available.”

– Meredith Bryant, Branch Manager, Evidence, Communication and Strategic Policy

Using PowerBI dashboards, users can create their own tables, discover graphs and charts that allow sorting data by industry, occupation, year, mechanism of injury and more. Interactive snapshots of agriculture and road transport industries are available, with a range of interactive datasets to choose from.

The beta release, or prototype, allows us to test and improve the website before an official launch in the coming months, when a wider set of data will be made available and other site improvements have been actioned.

Feedback on the data website has been extremely positive so far, with many agreeing on how easy the site is to use.

You can provide feedback by visiting the website – data.safeworkaustralia.gov.au - and completing a short online questionnaire.
