Safe Work Australia recently published 5 animations to help employers and workers understand what airborne containments are, how they can impact health, and how to manage the exposure risks.

The animations cover:

  1. the potential harm from airborne contaminants
  2. the sources of airborne contaminants
  3. how to identify if workers are being exposed to airborne contaminants
  4. controls to manage the risk of exposure to airborne contaminants, and
  5. preparing for the transition to workplace exposure limits.

The animations in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese, and are available now on our airborne contaminants hub, along with easy-to-read infographics, fact sheets, and more.

The airborne contaminants hub provides information to help workers and employers understand how to protect themselves and others from workplace exposures to airborne contaminants, and prepare for the transition from workplace exposure standards to workplace exposure limits from 1 December 2026.
