Best Practice Review of the model Work Health and Safety laws

This report details recommendations and actions from the Best Practice Review of the model Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws, completed by Safe Work Australia in 2026. The Review examined jurisdictional variations to the model WHS laws, as well as outcomes from relevant government reviews and inquiries. It made 21 recommendations to maintain and strengthen harmonisation and otherwise improve the model WHS laws.
