The Safe Work Australia Annual Report is published to inform Parliament, ministers, governments and the community about our performance in delivering improvements to key work health and safety and workers' compensation arrangements across Australia.

One of our key functions, under the Safe Work Australia Act 2008 (Cth), is to work with international bodies on WHS and workers’ compensation policy matters of national import

WHS regulators and workers’ compensation authorities

We do not regulate and enforce WHS laws nor do we manage workers’ compensation claims or insurance. This is the role of the Commonwealth, states and territories.

On Thursday 15 October 2020, Safe Work Australia's eleventh annual report was tabled in the Australian Parliament.
