WHS duties for PCBUs

Under WHS laws, employers have a duty to protect the health and safety of workers at work, and other people who may be affected by the work. Employers must eliminate or minimise both physical and psychosocial risks as much as they reasonably can.

WHS duties for workers

Under WHS laws, workers, including young workers, have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety. They must also take reasonable care of the health and safety of others in relation to the work.
Workers must also comply with reasonable health and safety instructions, as much as they reasonably can, and cooperate with reasonable health and safety policies or procedures that have been communicated to them.
