In 2024, WHS Ministers agreed to the changes in the WES list to form the WEL list, and a harmonised transition across Australia for the adoption of the WEL list.  

In some cases, the WEL agreed by WHS ministers is an alternate health-based limit to that recommended in the evaluation report. These alternative health-based limits were recommended to WHS Ministers by Safe Work Australia Members in response to additional information provided through consultation feedback. Please refer to the WEL list for the applicable limits.
