The Advancing the evidence: Safe Work Australia 2026 Research Update webinar was held on 20 May 2026 and highlighted the importance of collaboration in strengthening the WHS evidence base and translating research into policy and practice.

The program included:

  • an update from Marie Boland, CEO on Safe Work Australia’s strategic direction and 2026 research priorities
  • a research update on key findings from the horizon scan and evidence mapping project 
  • a panel discussion on improving the impact of WHS research through collaboration.

The panel discussion brought together perspectives from policy, research, employers and workers, highlighting how collaboration strengthens the quality and impact of WHS research and supports its translation into practical outcomes.
