Guidance on the interpretation of Workplace exposure standards for airborne contaminants

Australia is transitioning to the Workplace exposure limits for airborne contaminants (WEL list). Until 1 December 2026, you must still comply with the Workplace exposure standards for airborne contaminants (WES list). This resource provides guidance for the WES list and will apply until 1 December 2026. 

After Australia transitions to the WEL list on 1 December 2026, this guidance will be replaced by the Guide for PCBUs: Air monitoring and the workplace exposure limits for airborne contaminants and the Technical guide: Air monitoring and the workplace exposure limits for airborne contaminants.
