Every year, quad bikes are a major cause of death and serious injury in rural workplaces. Many incidents involve rollovers.
A quad bike is an off-road, motorised vehicle that travels on four wheels and is operated like a motorcycle. Quad bikes are often used in the agricultural industry for a range of jobs such as mustering livestock, carrying loads, spraying pesticides, inspecting livestock, supervising workers and travelling on farm property.
As a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU), you have a duty to keep workers and your workplace safe from the risks of quad bikes.
