Simple design changes and good communication with your workers can lead to big benefits for health and safety in the workplace.
About this seminar
This broadcast introduces workplaces to the Participative Ergonomics for Manual Tasks (PErforM) program, a simple risk management program used by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
PErforM helps employers engage with workers at all levels to identify, assess and control manual task risks within the workplace. It has been used successfully in a wide range of industries including mining, construction and aged care.
The program is based on participative ergonomics, an internationally recommended approach for reducing musculoskeletal disorders.
In this broadcast, workers from the Council of the City of Gold Coast discuss the benefits of the program, including improved productivity, legislative compliance, improved worker knowledge and greater communication between staff.
Who is this seminar for?
This broadcast is for work health and safety professionals, managers and business owners. Anyone involved in managing workplace hazards and risks associated with musculoskeletal disorders may find this broadcast informative, as well as workers in industries such as mining, manufacturing, civil construction, aged care and food processing.
