Music festivals, sporting events and cultural celebrations are exciting and fun, but what are the safety implications for the staff, contractors and volunteers who make them happen?

Putting on a major event is a complex undertaking, from installing temporary infrastructure and managing contractors in the planning stage, to dealing with electrical hazards and managing large crowds during the event. Rigorous planning, communication and ongoing monitoring is essential.

Expert panel members Dr Aldo Raineri, Stephen Woolger and Tony Williams discuss the challenges of meeting WHS obligations at major events, while still keeping them fun for audiences. Learn what goes into the planning and design of these events and what happens behind the scenes to make sure everyone stays safe.
