Senate Order
An amendment to the Senate Order of 14 May 2015 requires all procurement contracts be listed in a report on the AusTender website, with non-procurement contracts to be listed on entity websites.
2024-25 calendar year
This page outlines Safe Work Australia’s listings pursuant to the Senate Order on entity contracts for the 2024-25 calendar year:
- All procurement contracts required to be listed can be found on the AusTender website.
- There were no non-procurement contracts entered into by Safe Work Australia which provides for consideration to the value of $100,000 or more (GST inclusive) and which:
- have not been fully performed as at the end of the reporting period 30 June 2025, or
- have been entered into during the 12 months prior to 30 June 2025.
Most procurement contracts contain general confidentiality provisions. These are designed to protect confidential information about the parties that could be obtained or generated in carrying out the contract. The reasons for such clauses include:
- ordinary commercial prudence that requires protection of trade secrets, proprietary information and the like
- protection of other Commonwealth material and personal information.
The accountable authority of Safe Work Australia has confirmed that the listed contracts do not contain any inappropriate confidentiality provisions.
Safe Work Australia has estimated its cost of complying with the Senate Order is $218. This is determined by calculating the time taken to collect, analyse and compile the information and applying salary costs and on-costs.
