We have developed our Diversity and inclusion strategy 2016-2019 in accordance with the Australian Public Service Commissioner’s Direction 2014. The strategy defines our agency’s direction and priorities for workforce diversity and inclusion and is designed to build a workplace culture of respect and inclusiveness.
Gender equality pledge
To demonstrate Safe Work Australia’s commitment to gender equality, I pledge that whenever Safe Work Australia organises or facilitates events and seminars, we will ensure that women are represented and that gender balance is achieved.
I also pledge that when I am invited to be involved in or sponsor a panel/conference/event I will inquire about organiser efforts to ensure women leaders are represented and gender balance is achieved.
