Safe Work Australia is committed to improving work health and safety and workers’ compensation arrangements across Australia. Safe Work Australia provides support through the Sponsorship Program (the Program) to initiatives of individuals, businesses, government and non-government organisations that align with this commitment. The Program is not a means of self-promotion for Safe Work Australia.
The Program is an open, non-competitive program taking effect from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018, with scope for renewal.
The objectives of this Program are to:
- promote community awareness and knowledge of work health and safety and workers’ compensation
- support initiatives aligned with the Australian Work Health and Safety Strategy 2012-2022, and
- highlight other key activities of Safe Work Australia.
Sponsorship Guidelines are available on GrantConnect where the Australian Government publishes all grant and forecast opportunities.

Consistent with the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines 2017, information on individual grants are now reported on GrantConnect. This will be done no later than twenty-one calendar days after the grant agreement for the grant takes effect.
