National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets

NOHSC declared a second edition of the National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets on 24 April 2003. However, to minimise the impact on industry and allow time for the Commonwealth, States and Territories to amend their regulations, NOHSC determined that the MSDS Code should not come into effect into Commonwealth, State and Territory regulations until 24 April 2006. Please refer to the media release.

NOHSC recommends the use of the second edition of the National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets. However, please check your local occupational health and safety regulations regarding the use of this edition.
