Mr Tom Phillips AM
Mr Phillips has over 30 years experience in the Australian automotive industry after first commencing at General Motors-Holden in the mid 1960s.
Mr Phillips was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd in June 2000. In December 2002, he was named South Australia's Businessman of the Year.
Following his retirement from Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd in September 2005, Mr Phillips was appointed a Director of Australia Post (term expired in November 2008) and holds board member positions with several not-for-profit organisations and private companies, including Flinders University Council, Uranium SA Ltd, Archer Exploration Ltd and the Development Council for the Salvation Army (SA). He has previously held a board member position with the South Australian Training and Skills Commission.
Mr Phillips is currently the presiding member of the SafeWork SA Advisory Committee, which advises on OHS standards, policy and legislative matters and promotes OHS education and training.
