Safety Ambassador Robin Stewart-Crompton
Background information
I have been closely involved with OHS for many years. Now a consultant, I am a former CEO and member of the National OHS Commission. I chaired the recent national review into model OHS laws and have advised various government bodies on OHS law and practice.
Why workplace safety is important to me
Workplace safety is a basic human right. Everyone should be involved in doing whatever can be done to make workplaces free of hazards, risks and harmful incidents. Although Australia has one of the world’s better OHS records, the toll of work-related deaths, injuries and diseases is a matter of great concern. Much must be done so that we can have the world’s safest workplaces.
My plans for national Safe Work Australia Week
I aim to be involved in activities that will reinforce the crucial importance of everyone cooperating to secure the best OHS at Australian workplaces so that no one is exposed to harm
Why I accepted the role as a national Safe Work Australia Week Safety Ambassador
Being a safety ambassador allows me to contribute to achieving the best OHS results in all workplaces.
