Background information
I have been involved with different aspects of industrial relations and workplace safety for almost 20 years since working in the Victorian Occupational Safety & Health Authority.
I have published my own OHS magazines and newsletters, consulted on OHS, and now write on OHS and its business context.
I am a life member of the Central Safety Group and a Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia
Why workplace safety is important to me
I don’t want to fix people. I want to stop the pain and sorrow from happening.
My plans for national Safe Work Australia Week
Attend as many events as possible. Ask questions at each event, Write several blog and Twitter articles a day before, during and after Safe Work Australia Week.
Why I accepted the role as a national Safe Work Australia Week Safety Ambassador
As a safety professional, part of my role is to be an advocate for safety anyway. Safe Work Australia Week needs more prominence on a national basis and I can help.
