Background information
I am currently the CEO & Managing Director of the National Safety Council of Australia. We are a member based not for profit organisation whose charter is to improve workplace health and safety outcomes within Australia.
Why workplace safety is important to me
Our organisation conducts a variety of health and safety training and consulting programs with a wide range of organisations throughout Australia. Through these activities we witness outstanding initiatives in the area and the resultant benefits and unfortunately we also sometimes witness a lack of commitment to health and safety and some of the dire consequences that can result.
My plans for national Safe Work Australia Week
Through the various communication channels the NSCA has at its disposal, inform all of our members and customers about National Safe Work Australia Week, and to encourage our members and customers to utilise National Safe Work Australia Week as a catalyst to reinforce to their employees the importance of workplace safety.
Why I accepted the role as a national Safe Work Australia Week Safety Ambassador
We feel at the NSCA we are Safety Ambassadors every day of the year. National Safe Work Australia Week is a fantastic opportunity to reinforce our commitment to workplace safety.
