Safe Work Australia Week—It’s a wrap!
Safe Work Australia week has come to a close for 2012. Close to 700 people (699) registered this year as Safety Ambassadors – the most registrations to date!
Across Australia activities were held to raise awareness of the importance of work health and safety. If you held activities during the week, post them on Safe Work Australia’s facebook page to show others how you celebrated.
It was great to see so much interest and support for work health and safety during the week. However we must remain committed to ensuring that work health and safety remains a priority every week of the year.
The winner of the 2012 Safety Ambassador of the Year Award will be announced this week at Parliament House by The Hon Bill Shorten MP, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations. Good luck to the 23 Safety Ambassadors who nominated for the Award.
Details of the winner will be posted on the Safe Work Australia Week website on Wednesday.
