Safe Work Australia Week—find out how to get involved.

National Safe Work Australia Week will be celebrated from 21 to 27 October 2012.

Held annually, Safe Work Australia Week reminds us all that workplace safety should be a priority each and every day.

How you choose to participate in Safe Work Australia Week is up to you. Here are three easy ways to get involved:

  1. Organise health and safety activities in your workplace
    Activity ideas include:

    • a safety trivia competition or quiz
    • health and safety training, or
    • presentations on relevant safety issues.
  2. Organise a Take 10@10 event
Take 10@10 is a great way to incorporate a safety focus into busy working lives. All you need to do is stop for 10 minutes at 10am to discuss a safety topic or perform a safety activity.

  3. Take part in state or territory activities
The work health and safety authorities in each state and territory often have a range of health and safety events available to the public during Safe Work Australia Week and throughout the month of October.
