Media Release - National Safe Work Month electronic kit now available (PDF 113kb)

The National Safe Work Month electronic information kit, designed to assist organisations raise awareness of work health and safety, is now available to download from the National Safe Work Month web page.

National Safe Work Month, held every October, is dedicated to encouraging individuals and workplaces to raise awareness of work health and safety. The electronic information kit includes a range of products, such as posters, fact sheets, logos, web banners and national safety statistics to make participating easier.

Safe Work Australia Chief Executive Officer Michelle Baxter is encouraging individuals and organisations to participate in National Safe Work Month and make use of the resources provided in the electronic information kit.

“National Safe Work Month is all about participation. I encourage you to make use of the resources provided. Print and display the contents in your workplace to start a conversation about your reasons for keeping safe and healthy at work.” “This year’s National Safe Work Month theme is ‘Be safe. Be healthy. Because…’. You can personalise this theme by adding your own reasons for being safe and healthy at work”, says Ms Baxter.

“There are many reasons for being safe and healthy at work – think about what is important to you”, says Ms Baxter.

The kit is available to download from the National Safe Work Month web page. This page also includes information about what else Safe Work Australia has planned throughout October, including the National Safe Work Month Workplace Participation Reward, National Safe Work Month smart phone application and the Virtual Seminar Series.
