Workplace amusement devices guidance material
The General Guide for Amusement Devices provides information for persons conducting a business or undertaking on how to manage the risks associated with amusement devices and passenger ropeways at a workplace.
This Guide is supported by specific amusement devices information sheets, available below, for:
- Owners and Managers
- Inflatable Devices, and
- Annual Inspections and Records.
The word ‘should’ is used in these documents to indicate a recommended course of action, while ‘may’ is used to indicate an optional course of action.
The words ‘must’, ‘requires’ or ‘mandatory’ indicate that a legal requirement exists in the model Work Health and Safety laws and must be complied with.
The General Guide for Amusement Devices was amended on 21 March 2016 and republished in July 2016. An amendments table listing the amendments is included in the current version below. The previous version of the Guide, published in December 2014, is located on the historical versions page.
