Putting safety in the spotlight
Safe Work Australia Chair, Mr Tom Phillips AM, has announced the registration process for Safe Work Australia Week Safety Ambassadors is now open.
This year, Safe Work Australia Week will be celebrated from 23 to 29 October 2011.
National Safe Work Australia Week is an annual celebration that encourages all working Australians to get involved in and concentrate on safety in their workplace to reduce death, injury and disease.
Any working Australian with a passion for safety can register to become a Safety Ambassador. Once registered, Safety Ambassadors need to take the lead on safety in their workplace, drive safety messages and organise activities to support Safe Work Australia Week.
