Research was conducted on exposure of Australian workers to loud noise and the control measures that are provided in workplaces that eliminate, reduce or control worker exposure to loud noise.
Initially patterns of exposure to loud noise together with patterns of noise exposure control provisions were sought with respect to industry, occupation and other relevant demographic and employment variables.
Once patterns were identified, researchers provided recommendations for the development of WHS and workers’ compensation policy.
It is hoped that the information and recommendations contained in the report provide researchers in with field with a clear and constructive direction for future research.
