The selection process

The following information regarding the selection process may be of assistance:

  • applications received electronically will be acknowledged by way of an email from Recruitment
  • the Selection Advisory Committee will generally comprise three members and a scribe
  • although further assessment, such as interviews and written exercises, is generally undertaken, this is not mandatory if the result is clear and can be determined from application and referee reports
  • if the panel has requested that you provide written referee reports, your referees should be provided with the rating scale and proforma, see documents below

  • all applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process, at which time, applicants can seek feedback on their application, and 
  • applicants are welcome to seek the status of their application through opportunities@safeworkaustralia.gov.au
